I have been taking streaming seriously for little over half a year now. I put this website up sometime around then. I’ve always wanted to have a secondary place to talk to viewers and friends that I play with, but that ended up becomming The Worst Team Ever. I am happy with how that site has developed, but consequently I have not put much time or effort into this one.
Since I started streaming, I have made a lot of new friends… and lost a few as well. We have some solid members for CS:GO and Dota 2 and I’d like to collaborate a little more with our ZA TZ friends to establish some MechWarrior Online and Rust teams. I hope some of the older members are inclined to return at some point in the future. I feel like my stream and the gaming community are going to pick up pretty soon. I’d like some of those original duders to be around for it. Hopefully we can all make amends.
Aside from the normal drama, there have been a couple technical of bumps along the way as well. I recently watched my motherboard melt in front of me… twice. The first time I believe was due to a faulty EVGA G2 1300 PSU. The second time it melted was because I didn’t realize that the motherboard had actually fried. When I plugged in the new PSU into the same motherboard, it caught on fire again.
Once I was able to figure out that I need a new motherboard and finally replaced it, I found out that I lost my Windows 10 Technical Preview License along with the board. It then took me a little while to figure out what I was going to do about getting a new Windows 10 license. I am happy with windows 10, but the graphical performance is not as strong as windows 7 or 8. I’ll save that discussion for a later post. I ended up giving in to Bill Satan Gates.
Despite the fact I have been streaming for quite some time and have already stopped and started again, this my first REAL post on the site. I want to post more about some of the other projects I have been working on as well as what has been going on in my streaming career. It’s nice to be able to have my own area where I can say what I want about what I want, and not have to be worried about getting downvoted.
I still have a ton of work to do on all my sites. The main thing i have to work on is making sure my affiliates links are in order so i can generate a little cashish while i produce content for you guys. Being a streamer is not easy. It’s mostly fun and games, but trying to make a business out of your hobby is not a light task.
With this first post, I will finally consider the website structure “finished,” at least to some degree. I want to use the forums at The Worst Team Ever, if necessary. I still haven’t figured out what I am going to do about comments on this site. There’s not much going on here except for these little tidbits, so I want to write as often as possible.
